How do I donate baby items?

You can donate excellent quality baby items by dropping in –

  • Every Saturday (except public holiday weekends) between 9am – 10am at Storage King Grey Lynn, 300 Richmond Road, Grey Lynn, Auckland. Please go to the end of the long drive. We prefer that you drop-off donations to us on Saturday mornings as first choice, so we can process these and give to families straightaway.
  • Or every Wednesday, Thursday or Friday (excluding public holidays) between 9am – 5pm at Storage King Grey Lynn, 300 Richmond Road, Grey Lynn, Auckland and Storage King Takapuna, 19 Hillside Road, Glenfield, Auckland.

Please note our Saturday drop-off option is closed during the school summer holiday period (Christmas to early February). Closing dates will be posted on our facebook page closer to the time.

What items can I donate?

We accept high quality pre-loved (and new) baby clothes up to size 1, as well as a range of other essential baby items. For a full list of everything we accept, see our “Donate Items” page.

I need gear for my baby, what can I do?

Please talk to your midwife/health provider or other community support organisation. They can contact us on your behalf about accessing our services.

I am a health care provider – how can I get gear for a client?

Please contact us with your contact information, position and information about who needs gear and why, and we will assess your request. Please note we have to ensure that all existing partners first receive adequate gear and we cannot guarantee certain items as we can only re-home what we are donated.

How can I help?

Where does my gear end up and how is it distributed?

We send all donations directly to our partner organisations. Their frontline staff assess who will benefit most from all the items and pass them immediately on to families in need. This ensures that your precious items are received by the little ones who need them most.

Can I make a cash donation?

Yes. If you would like to make a cash donation, please see our “Help Fund Us” page for more information.

What about safety standards?

We work hard to ensure that all items are checked and are found to be of high quality before we pass them on. We check every item to make sure it meets agreed standards that we have outlined in our collection policy document. We recognise the need to comply with NZ Product Safety Standards for cots, toys and nightwear in accordance with the Fair Trading Act.
